April 2012

First signs of spring.  It had rained a lot for a week or so.  So much that a pond formed in the field next to our house.  It must have had a lot of worms because on this particular day ten-fifteen robins grouped together looking for something to eat.  It was really fun to watch them.  They're such pretty birds.

Jules and Isaac are so alike in so many ways.  I was so hoping that, where she was such a calm baby, she would continue to be a mellow child but I fear that she's going to be worse than Isaac.  Sigh.

 Julianne

What can I say about this little girl.  My life would not be the same without her.

She already likes to brush her hair.  Such a girl.

I finally got her hair in pig tails. She looks so stinkin cute.

When it has come to walking Jules has been a real wimp.  Most people say, " its better if she's not walking"  or "just wait until she's really mobile" and I say.  Whatever.  She already gets into everything she wants to she might as well be walking too.

She did finally learn to enjoy walking with her little stroller, once she figured out which side to push.

She's a climber!!!

See what I mean about her getting into what ever she wants.  I was hoping, where she was such a calm baby, she would be a mellow toddler. Unfortunately she turns out to be more like Isaac every day.  Not that that's all bad.  Its just challenging.

Try not to look at my messy house in the background of all these pictures.

EASTER
You'll have to excuse these pictures.  Remember I told you that Jaxson broke the camera.  Well it just kept getting worse.

This will probably be the last year that we dye eggs in the bath tub, the kids are getting to big.  It sure makes it less frustrating though.  You don't have to worry about spills.

Thanks grandma and grandpa for the Easter package!!  The kids sure loved the chicks!

AHH!!  These pictures are so annoying but I guess that it's better than nothing.  I have to confess that I didn't do as well with Easter as I normally do.  Hopefully where the kids are young they won't remember it very well.

February and March Randomness

While we were in Idaho Falls Emma got fancy with her hair.  The funny thing is that some of the hairstyles she comes up with are actually cute.  Don't ask me about the star on the forehead though.  I have no idea.
Jules found a little ball at my parents house and freaked out because she loved it so much.  She kept throwing it and laughing.  She also learned how to say doggie (which actually came out as diddy, but she knew what she was talking about) and cheese.  Any time the camera came out she'd automatically say "Cheese".
Alex, the kids' cousin, came and stayed with us for a few days while her dad was away on business.  We sure love her.  She and Emma had a lot of fun together.

We came home just before Valentines Day which was great.  I got to make our traditional big heart cookies for the kids and try out a new frosting tip in the process.

We didn't do much for my birthday because that was the day we traveled down to IF but when we got back Emma made this special little "cake" for me.
She is such a thoughtful kid.  I sure love her

Jules decided that she wanted to be pretty too and try out Emma's headband.  Some day she'll figure out the right way to put it on.  I love these pictures though.  The next few are just random ones that I thought were cute.

So Jaxson stole my camera one day and decided to take a bunch of pictures.  The sad thing is that he broke the camera in the process.  The shutter won't open all the way now.  I didn't really like the camera but at least it worked, until Jaxson got a hold of it.
He took about eight pictures of the ladder to the bunk bed.  Seeing as how they're all pretty much the same I figured I'd just post one.

At least she's happy here.  Most of the time she get stuck under the chairs and starts crying.
My kids love their little sister.  They all mauled her while she was drinking her bottle.
One day while we were eating dinner Jules decided that she wasn't going to eat unless it was from a fork she was holding herself.  Why do I get all the independent ones?  She hasn't done this much since but she has definitely made her will known in other ways.

Jan 2012

Oh, how I wanted to catch up on posting but alas, I have to concede that where it has been almost a year since I have posted regularly, it's not going to happen.  So I guess I'll start with the beginning of this year.  It's kind of sad how fast time goes by.  My baby is almost sixteen months and the other kids are growing so fast I feel like I can barely enjoy the phase they're in and then they've changed again.
So January of this year was a little crazy.  Jules turned one on the seventh.  We had some friends over to celebrated and I think she had fun.  She didn't eat much cake but she enjoyed playing in the frosting and flinging it around.  I enjoyed making her cake, and I think it turned out good. Ignore the dates on all of the pictures.  They're all wrong.  We got a new camera and didn't set it to the right date.

My friend Jovane made this cute towel for her.

We had some crazy storms in January.  It dumped three or four inches and then rained.  The rain froze as a 1/4 inch thick sheet on top of the snow and then it dumped another two or three inches of snow on top of that.  The kids had fun playing it but it was challenging with the ice in the middle of the snow.  These pictures are of the kids enjoying a hill I stacked up with them in the back yard for them to sled down.

Josh needed to get some medical treatment in Blackfoot so on the 26th of January we packed up the car and headed to my parents.  I don't know what I would do without them.  They were such a blessing with their support and helping us watch our kids.  Thanks mom and dad for being so amazing.  Jules couldn't get enough of the dogs and she would park herself in front of the back door to watch them.

I can't remember why, but Emma decided to make up her own recipe for a cake while we were there.  She was so proud of herself.  I can't believe how grown up she is getting.  It kinda makes me sad that she is not a small girl anymore.
